Understanding Electrostatic Disinfection

With all of the different types of cleaning out there, many people don’t completely understand what electrostatic disinfection is.

Understanding Electrostatic Disinfection

Regular cleaning using regular methods is important on a day to day basis. This is a traditional method of wiping down physically with a cloth and some sort of detergent in order to remove dirt and dust. Electrostatic is more of a no touch approach after the wipe down.

How it is Different

Electrostatic disinfection uses a spray that is electrostatically charged mist that is applied to objects and surfaces. This method allows it to be evenly applied to any surface and even get into the hard to reach areas. It does not remove dirt and dust from a surface, but is more capable of entire covering a surface or object completely.

How it Works

Electrostatic sprayers add a positive charge to the detergent being applied. Naturally they are then attracted to any object. This is due to the earth having a natural negative attraction. Because same poles repel and opposites attract, this leads to an even coating during the process.

The benefits outweigh anything else you might be thinking. First off, it can get into the hard to reach places that are not easily accessible. The spray evenly coats the entire surface especially on odd shaped objects.

Time Saving

Because a spray is being applied to the surface, there is less time in the process compared to the usual wiping down method of disinfecting cleaning. When the spray naturally applies itself in an even coating, it save from over use of the cleaning product.
